Art, music, literature, the visual and the verbal, along with the audible, particularly jazz, permeate this section of Paris...even with all the commercialization of the better known cafés, it is still an inspirational place to be...bookstores still abound, and the cafés host the serious students and the less-serious students with equal capacity...
